Open call for interactive sound installations!

Sound Art Brighton have teamed up with ONCA to commission a local artist or collective to produce an interactive sound installation for ONCA gallery, Brighton, UK. Applicants must be based within the borders of the Brighton & Lewes UNESCO biosphere.

The installation will explore how people can experience sound art through senses other than auditory such as sight, touch and smell – making it more accessible to audiences who are d/Deaf and hard of hearing, neurodiverse or with disabilities etc.

We actively encourage applications from those who are underrepresented within the arts, such as artists who identify as LGBTQIA+, BlPOC, d/Deaf, disabled, neurodiverse, working class and those with care responsibilities.

This is a paid opportunity and the ONCA Barge at Brighton Marina will be available in January & February as a research/residency space.
